Overview

Pseudo-ties are used to define the metered boundary for the local balancing area and MISO balancing area.  Criteria need to be defined and processes need to be improved for pseudo-ties. This issue was identified as part of the Pseudo-Tie Issue Task Team (PITT) and referred to the RSC through the Steering Committee.

On February 26, 2018, FERC rejected MISO’s proposed pro forma Pseudo-Tie Agreement and related Tariff provisions. MISO has posted the initial drafts of a revised pro forma Pseudo-Tie Agreement with meeting materials. The revised agreement incorporates changes as directed by the FERC order, as well as clarifying changes in response to comments received in the prior proceeding. MISO plans to file in June with the updated language.
