The objective of this issue is to improve forward-looking transparency for stakeholders and MISO, and to increase early outage scheduling and flexibility during emergencies.
- Produce additional historic and forward looking forecasts
- Improve use and capabilities of current outage tracking and impact analysis tools
- Implement incentives to schedule outages and derates 'well in advance,' while encouraging near term flexibility
This issue was identified in 2018 as a Phase 1 issue of Resource Availability and Need (IR025)
