Submitted Feedback

Xcel Energy appreciates the opportunity to provide feedback regarding the SAC functionality in the MECT.  We encourage MISO to ensure that the registration, review and export processes are efficient for MPs with large resource portfolios.  This would include the capability to upload data required for registration in the MECT to eliminate duplicative manual entry.  In addition, we request the ability to download the SAC calculations for all resources at one time, instead of clicking on the resource and then exporting the information for that resource only.  Finally, enable users with many resources to scroll through their entire portfolio from one page, rather than breaking their resources down among multiple pages.

•Recommend Showing ICAP, XEFORd, UCAP, ISAC, and SAC on the main screen

•Recommend Export capability showing all 8760 hourly data showing if Tier 1, Tier 2, or Max Gen; Seasonal and Annual RA hours

•Recommend Export capability showing the hourly margin data that was used to determine the Tier 2 hours

•Reference that we should be able to export a file that looks like the hourly RA hours file MISO posted during the Stakeholder process; we should be able to see the determination of the Tier 2 hours, not just trust it behind the scenes

•MISO must be able to provide all unit level data inputs at the hourly basis for the unit-level SAC calculation

•MISO should clarify the degree of precision (number of decimals retained) in each step of the SAC calculation resulting in the final SAC value with one decimal point, and be sure to show that degree of precision in the values presented on the screen

Disappointed that as of 4/11/2022 when using the MECT in the CCE environment there are still no seasonal results, apparently a technical issue as my screen does not provide an option to view seasonal results.  I was hopeful a few weeks ago when MISO worked on the issue but progress has stalled.  Hopefully this will be resolved soon, or that others do not have this issue.

Good informative class

WPPI appreciates MISO’s efforts to provide an early view of anticipated MECT changes, and to solicit opinions of MECT users on the design of the new interface.  We encourage MISO to continue this approach.  It would be particularly helpful if MISO makes proposed interface views available to stakeholders via the Customer Connectivity Environment (CCE).
