Currently there is an alignment gap between the GIP timeline and the MTEP process. MTEP projects are approved annually whereas the GIP takes 505 days. To better coordinate the two planning processes it will be necessary to reduce the GIP timeline to align better with the annual MTEP process.
This is a sub issue to the umbrella Integrated Roadmap Issue IR072 (Queue Enhancements).
