Jeff Lemmer

Former Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Ford Motor Company

Jeff Lemmer possesses vast expertise in technology and innovation, currently advising multiple companies on a wide spectrum of IT subjects, including strategy, solution definition and implementation, and security. Beyond IT, he also consults regarding product strategy, executive coaching, and go-to-market strategies. 

From 2018 until he retired in 2020, Jeff was the Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Ford Motor Company. In this role he steered a global technology division composed of nearly 8,000 IT professionals and managed an annual budget of $2B. His responsibilities included overseeing IT services for Ford's global operations, including business applications, architecture, data centers, engineering, and enterprise and vehicle cyber security. 

Prior to becoming CIO when he served as Ford’s Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of IT, Jeff catalyzed a cultural shift that laid the groundwork for the agile transformation. He also revamped the IT investment portfolio management alongside the executive leadership, ensuring a balance between business growth and operational efficiency. 

Outside of his corporate roles, Jeff served as a board member of Junior Achievement of Southeastern Michigan from 2011 to 2020 and he currently advises the board. He sits on the Board of Trustees for Lawrence Technological University and has served as co-chair for the governing body of the Detroit CIO community. As a member and former presenter for the Michigan Council of Women in Technology (MCWT), he remains actively involved in the IT community. 

Jeff is an alumnus of Lawrence Technological University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in math and computer science.
