Tim Caister serves as MISO's vice president of legal and federal regulatory affairs. In this role he is responsible for establishing and executing the strategic direction and vision for the MISO legal and federal regulatory affairs teams.  Additionally, Caister is responsible for providing strategic insight to senior level leadership and advising leadership on the effects and impacts of legal, regulatory and other business risks and opportunities. Caister's team ensures a coordinated approach to support MISO and member priorities in the federal government and regulatory environments.

Before joining MISO in 2018, Caister served as vice president, regulatory policy at Northern Indiana Public Service Company. He has worked as an attorney in various state and federal regulatory positions at NIPSCO and Ameren Services Company.

Caister holds a juris doctor from the Chicago-Kent College of Law and  a B.A. from Alma College located in Alma, Michigan.
