CARMEL, Ind. — MISO has named Nirav Shah as its new chief digital and information officer. Shah will manage the digital technology division's innovation, operations and infrastructure areas for the 15-state grid operator. Shah will be based at MISO’s headquarters in Carmel, Indiana.

Shah, a distinguished technology and innovation leader, brings over 20 years of experience to his new role. His previous positions include serving as the chief information officer and vice president of IT at Republic Airways, where he spearheaded digital transformation, operations, infrastructure and security. Shah also led applications development at OneAmerica Financial and held several senior-level roles at Interactive Intelligence, which was acquired in 2016 by Genesys, a global leader in cloud customer experience and contact center solutions.

Shah’s academic and professional achievements further underscore his qualifications. He recently completed the Chief Digital Officer program at Kellogg School of Management. He holds an MBA from Missouri State University, a master's degree in computer science from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and a bachelor's degree in computer engineering from the University of Mumbai. His contributions to the industry have been recognized with the 'Best of Tech' Mira Award 2019 Chief Technology Officer of the Year honor from TechPoint/Indiana Business Journal.
